MISSION STATEMENT: ITB, Inc. is dedicated to fostering international communications for the development of free trade and understanding among all nations.
The Principal: Prof. Mariano Pallarés
The sole owner, Mariano Pallarés, a professor of Foreign Languages and Cultures with a wide background in linguistics and international business, manages ITB, Inc.
During the last three decades, Dr. Pallarés has been involved in promoting international trade and has served as advisor in matters of business and trade for two Michigan governors: Governor James Blanchard (D) and Governor John Engler (R).
Among a long list of civic, business, and community awards are his inclusion into the "Who's Who Worldwide" and "Who's Who Among Hispanic Americans". He is an active life member of the American Translators Association since 1978, and a member of the "World Trade Club" since 1980.
The Office Manager: Ms. Erika Gorman
Ms. Erika Gorman, a native of Germany, has been with the company for over 25 years. In addition to being an outstanding German translator, Ms. Gorman handles day-to-day operations, overlooking deadlines and coordinating large translating projects.
The Staff: Ms. Jasmine Palikainen and Ms. Michelle Merlino
ITB, Inc. has a core staff that handles several languages in-house, including Spanish, German, Portuguese, French and Italian. It also draws upon the expertise of associate professionals all around the world, who have distinguished credentials in their respective fields, and are experienced in the art and skills of translation and interpretation.
All ITB translators are encouraged to be certified by the American Translators Association and/or the Federation Internationale des Traducteurs.
They are also required to subscribe to their professional codes of ethics, which, among other things, demand strict adherence to confidentiality, intellectual integrity, and ethical conduct.
